The Nicosia-Limassol highway closed in the direction of Limassol at around 4:30pm on Thursday, near the Dali industrial area, after a truck overturned and spilled a large volume of gravel it was carrying.
The highway is also closed in the direction of Nicosia because of the gravel spill, with traffic toward Nicosia being diverted through the emergency lane.
Police are advising drivers heading toward Limassol to take the old Nicosia-Limassol road, via the exit to the new Nicosia ring road. Drivers can then rejoin the highway via the Pera Chorio Nisou entrance.

Police officers are at the scene assisting and directing traffic, while efforts continue to move the truck and clear the highway.
