A 55-year-old man faces sentencing next Tuesday after being found guilty of raping his 14-year-old niece twice, the Larnaca Criminal Court heard on Friday.
The case, which was heard in closed session to protect the minor victim‘s identity, relates to offences committed in the Larnaca district in 2021. The defendant pleaded not guilty, requiring a full trial.
In a separate closed hearing, the same court sentenced a 36-year-old man to two and a half years in prison for indecent exposure to a nine-year-old girl.
The court heard that the man, who was the child’s grandmother’s partner, committed the offence at a house in Larnaca district in 2021.
