A 20-year-old man was arrested in Limassol on Tuesday night after assaulting two police officers, authorities said.
The incident occurred shortly before midnight as officers were conducting routine crime prevention patrols. Upon seeing a man pushing a motorcycle with its engine off, they approached him.
The suspect allegedly attacked one officer physically and then verbally abused both officers when informed he would be arrested.
The man subsequently attempted to flee the scene on the motorcycle while continuing his aggressive behaviour towards the police.
He was eventually arrested and remains in custody for questioning.
