A minor was arrested in Larnaca in connection with the theft of a 43-year-old man’s vehicle from a car wash, while authorities continue searching for a second suspect. The detained minor is scheduled to appear before the court on Sunday to face a remand hearing.
According to Police, the 43-year-old car owner filed an official complaint with the Larnaca Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, reporting that his vehicle had been stolen the previous day while parked at a local car wash.
Following investigative leads, judicial arrest warrants were issued against two individuals. At around 19:30 on Saturday, officers from the Larnaca Cycling Police Unit located and apprehended one of the suspects.
The suspect, a minor, was taken into police custody ahead of Sunday’s court appearance. The Larnaca CID is continuing investigations into the case.
