A fire caused extensive damage to a car rental office in Larnaca in the early hours of Monday and also damaged three cars parked outside.
Inside the office, the fire destroyed an electric bicycle and personal belongings of its 52-year-old owner. Smoke also affected neighbouring premises.
While tackling the fire, firefighters searched the flats on the building’s upper floors but found no one trapped.
The alarm was raised at around 2:18am. Police and firefighters rushed to the scene with three fire engines, and firefighters brought the blaze under control at 3:11am.

The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage to the cars are not yet known. Police, the Fire Service and the Electrical and Mechanical Services were due to carry out further examinations at the scene on Monday morning.
