Road access to the arrivals level at Larnaca Airport will reopen from tomorrow after authorities agreed to lift security measures introduced during the Gaza conflict, easing long-standing congestion for passengers and drivers.
The restrictions, which had been in place since the outbreak of the war in Gaza, closed vehicle access to the arrivals area, forcing both arriving and departing passengers to use the departures entrance.
The change follows an initiative by Justice and Public Order Minister Costas Fytiris, who recently convened a meeting to address traffic congestion at the airport. Following the discussions, Hermes Airports completed the necessary arrangements to restore road access to the arrivals level.
The reopening was made possible through cooperation between the Cyprus Police, the Department of Public Works and Hermes Airports.
The move is expected to significantly reduce congestion at the departures level and improve access for passengers and motorists.
