Personal differences appear to be the motive behind a knife attack at a pharmacy in Paphos that left two women injured, according to initial police investigations.
A 35-year-old Greek Cypriot man from Limassol entered a pharmacy on Archbishop Makarios Avenue in Chloraka and attacked the 33-year-old pharmacy owner and her 24-year-old employee with a knife, Paphos Assistant Police Director Michalis Nicolaou said.
The suspect immediately surrendered to police officers who responded to the scene after being alerted by an eyewitness. The crime scene has been cordoned off as investigators collect evidence. The knife used in the attack was recovered at the scene.

Both victims were transported by ambulance to Paphos Hospital where they received medical attention for knife wounds. Doctors have determined their condition is not life-threatening, according to Nicolaou.
Investigations continue, with preliminary information suggesting the attack stemmed from personal differences between the suspect and people associated with the pharmacist.
