Weak low pressure and a relatively unstable air mass are affecting the area.
The weather today will initially be mainly clear, although increased low cloud will be observed locally. Clouds will gradually thicken, however, and local showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected after midday, especially in the mountains and inland.
Hail may also fall during a thunderstorm.
Winds will initially be variable and light, force 3 Beaufort, gradually becoming mainly south-westerly to north-westerly, light to moderate, force 3 to 4 Beaufort.
The sea will be calm to slight.
Temperatures will rise to around 26 °C inland, around 24 °C on the western coast, around 25 °C on the remaining coasts and around 13 °C in the higher mountains.
Tonight, the weather will become mainly clear, although locally increased cloud will be observed mainly over the western half of the island.
Later and during the early morning hours, thin fog or fog is expected to form locally, especially inland and in eastern areas.
Winds will be mainly downslope and light, force 3 Beaufort, while the sea will remain calm to slight.
Temperatures will fall to around 14 °C inland, around 15 °C on the southern and eastern coasts, around 16 °C on the remaining coasts and around 11 °C in the higher mountains.
On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, clouds will develop after midday, with isolated showers and an isolated thunderstorm expected, mainly in the mountains.
Temperatures will gradually rise until Wednesday, reaching close to average climatic values, while a slight drop is expected on Thursday.
