The Road Transport Department (RTD) in Cyprus recalled the Certificate of Roadworthiness for 688 Opel/Vauxhall vehicles to facilitate the replacement of faulty Takata driver airbags.
The RTD announced the recall after receiving information from the distributor, CIC Automasters, stating that the manufacturer, Opel/Vauxhall, initiated the action due to the defective airbags. The manufacturer directed owners to contact the distributor immediately.
As a result, the RTD proceeded with the recall of the roadworthiness certificates (MOT) for the affected vehicles.
