Police carried out organised patrols overnight, leading to eight arrests, for offences including affray and illegal stay.
During the night, police stopped 473 vehicles for checks and checked 617 drivers and passengers. Officers also carried out 44 premises checks, resulting in one violation being recorded.
Traffic checks led to 305 citations for various violations, 119 of which were for speeding. Police carried out 120 alcohol tests in total, with two positive results. They also carried out four preliminary drug tests, one of which was positive. Six vehicles were impounded as part of the checks.
