Police arrested a 27-year-old driver on Friday morning for travelling at 177 kilometres per hour in a 100 kph zone on the Limassol-Larnaca highway.
Officers from the Road Accident Prevention Unit of Police Headquarters stopped the man’s vehicle near Anglisides at approximately 8:15 a.m., authorities said.
The driver was arrested for a criminal offence committed in flagrante delicto and later released to appear before court at a later date.
Kofinou Regional Police Station is continuing the investigation.
