A total of 7,329 foreign nationals acquired Cypriot citizenship through the Cyprus Investment Programme (CIP), known as the golden passport scheme, according to Interior Ministry data.
Of these, 3,522 were investors, whilst the remaining 3,807 obtained citizenship as family members of the investors, the ministry said.
The ministry also revealed that 373 people have had their citizenship revocation approved, comprising 103 investors and 270 family members.
The revocation process has been completed for 116 individuals, including 35 investors and 81 family members. Decrees stripping these people of their Cypriot citizenship have been issued.
A further 26 investors are currently being investigated for potential citizenship revocation, according to the ministry.
The data was requested by Parliamentary Interior Committee chairman Aristos Damianou on behalf of all committee members.
In a letter signed by Interior Ministry Director General Elikhos Ilias, the ministry provided a detailed breakdown of the figures following a committee meeting on 30 October 2025.
The Cyprus Investment Programme, which granted citizenship in exchange for investment, became widely known both in Cyprus and abroad before being shut down.
