The Joint Rescue Coordination Center (JRCC) activated the National Search and Rescue Plan “NEARCHOS” at 14:20 on Sunday afternoon, November 2, 2025, to locate a missing person in the sea area of Agios Georgios Alamanou, Limassol.
Fast patrol boats from the Port and Marine Police, the Underwater Demolition Team of the National Guard Navy Command (UDT), and a helicopter from the Air Operations Unit (MAEP) were mobilized for the operation. A foot patrol from the Moni Police Station also participated in the area.
The person was located at 15:30 by a Port and Marine Police vessel and was handed over to an Ambulance Service ambulance for further medical examination.
