The case brought to light by philenews could be the plot of a crime film with dark revelations. It all began in mid-summer when a US detective participated undercover in an investigation into crimes against children.

Through the specific online app, the police officer, using a pseudonym, managed to convince the suspect he was communicating with a mother of two minors. He then began revealing the appalling acts he allegedly committed with his underage daughter.

From the revelations made, an investigation of the case began, with authorities taking action to locate the suspect’s account and analyse his data.

The same information indicates that police, beyond the information received from the US, also received a signal from Europol as conversations with other people besides the undercover officer were identified.

From examinations carried out through emails and devices, a 45-year-old man was identified as their owner. Further investigations led to locating his place of residence, and last Sunday, members of the Electronic Crime Branch proceeded with his arrest.

In a search conducted at his home, mobile phones and laptops were found and seized, which will undergo forensic examinations. The 45-year-old was brought before court today, which in a closed-door procedure ordered his detention for seven days.
