A group of British passengers were escorted off an easyJet flight from Larnaca to Birmingham after they repeatedly ignored orders to stop vaping during the five-hour journey, the Daily Mail reported.

Footage filmed by a fellow passenger showed three women and a man being led off the plane by police, after cabin crew asked them “numerous times” to stop vaping, according to the Daily Mail. Nearby holidaymakers had also complained about the group’s behaviour.

In the clip, an easyJet staff member is heard telling the group, “The police are waiting for them downstairs,” the Daily Mail reported. A police officer then asks: “Do you guys want to get off please?” before adding: “Just go that way. We’ll have a chat with you outside.”

After a brief delay, a grey-haired woman was the first to leave the aircraft, followed by three others, while dozens of other passengers waited on the runway, the newspaper said.

Annalise Galstaun, 31, who filmed the footage on her phone, told the Daily Mail the plane was held up for more than 20 minutes while staff tried to remove the group. “Grown adults who can’t wait to smoke their strawberry-flavoured crap,” she said.
