United For Palestine Limassol has announced a protest to be held on August 3 at Molos Amphitheatre, marking a newly declared day of solidarity with Palestinian prisoners and Gaza.

The demonstration, scheduled for 8 p.m., aims to draw attention to what the group describes as “repression, torture, and enforced disappearances” of Palestinian detainees. Organisers are calling for an end to practices they claim violate international human rights standards.

A statement by United For Palestine Limassol stated, “We’re gathering to demand immediate international intervention against secret prisons, enforced disappearances, and torture by occupation authorities.”

The protest will voice several demands, including:

  • An immediate halt to what the group terms “genocide”
  • An end to the occupation of Palestine
  • Accountability for alleged war crimes
  • Action from the Cypriot government to “protect its citizens and act morally”

This event is part of a worldwide initiative, which has designated 3 August as a national and international day of solidarity with Palestinian prisoners and Gaza.
