The United States is on high alert for potential significant attacks from Iran or its allies in the Middle East, with the possibility of an attack as soon as this week. This was communicated by the White House National Security Council spokesperson, John Kirby, to reporters.
In his statement, Kirby confirmed that the US has strengthened its strategic presence in the region and shares Israel’s concerns about a potential attack facilitated by Iran.
This development comes in the wake of accusations levelled at Israel by Iran and the Palestinian Islamist group, Hamas, regarding the assassination of a Hamas leader in Tehran last month.
