Three earthquakes strike southern Turkey in quick succession

Three strong earthquakes struck southern Turkey in quick succession, with epicentres in Adana and Osmaniye, according to the country’s disaster and emergency agency AFAD.

The first tremor, measuring magnitude 4.8, was recorded in Adana.

A second earthquake measuring 4.9 followed in the same area just 17 minutes later.

A third and stronger tremor, measuring magnitude 5.2, was then recorded in Osmaniye.

There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
