Pentagon logs hundreds of new UFO sightings but finds no alien evidence

The Pentagon’s All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) has documented 757 new UFO sightings between May 2023 and June 2024, bringing the total number of reported cases to 1,652, according to its annual report.

While most cases have been explained as common objects like balloons, birds, or drones, 21 incidents remain unexplained and “particularly interesting,” according to AARO Director Jon Kosloski. These unexplained cases, featuring objects described as orbs, cylinders, and triangles, have puzzled even experts with physics and engineering backgrounds.

Nearly 50 of the new reports have been resolved as everyday items, with 243 similar cases pending final review. Another 444 cases were archived due to insufficient evidence for investigation.

The increased reporting, particularly near military bases and national security facilities, reflects heightened government efforts to investigate these phenomena. However, Kosloski emphasized that AARO has found “no verifiable evidence of extraterrestrial beings, activity, or technology” or any breakthrough technologies from foreign adversaries.
