Kenyan police have arrested a 33-year-old serial killer in connection with the discovery of mutilated bodies of women at a dump site south of Nairobi.

The head of the Criminal Investigations Directorate, Mohamed Amin, announced the arrest of the man, adding, “We are dealing with a serial killer, a psychopathic serial killer who has no respect for human life.”

The suspect, Collins Jumaishi Kalusa, “confessed to luring, killing, and dumping 42 bodies of women at the dump site,” Amin noted.

A machete, “which we believe he used to dismember the victims,” was found during a search of the suspect’s home, located about 100 meters from the dump site, Amin explained.

“We also have a second suspect who was arrested while in possession of one of the victims’ phones,” he continued, without providing further details.

The first mutilated bodies of women were discovered at the dump site on Friday.

According to the head of the Criminal Investigations Directorate, the first victim was the wife of the main suspect, whom he “strangled” and dismembered.

The ages of the victims range from 18 to 30 years old, and all were killed in the same manner, Amin emphasised.
