A fire broke out early on Saturday on Greece’s Mount Athos near the monastery of Ayias Lavras, authorities said.
Ground and aerial firefighting forces are trying to contain it, they added.
Specifically, 11 fire engines with 43 firefighters and three hiking teams have rushed to the scene.
