Cypriot Member of the European Parliament Geadis Geadi attended Donald Trump’s inauguration in Washington, representing the European Conservatives and Reformists Party following an invitation to his political group, sources told philenews.
Geadi, posting on social media platform X with a photo in front of Congress, claimed he was the sole representative from Cyprus at the inauguration, attributing the invitation to his party ELAM’s presence at the U.S. presidential ceremony.
“Some claimed during the election campaign that we would be marginalised. Instead, we are at the centre of events. The invitation is a great honour”, Geadi wrote on X.
The MEP attended the internationally significant political event as part of the European Parliament delegation, according to sources familiar with the matter.
