At least 60 people have been killed and 168 injured in Israeli strikes across various regions of Lebanon over the past 24 hours, according to a late Friday night announcement by the Lebanese Ministry of Health.
Lebanese authorities reported 57 airstrikes in different areas of the country, with the majority concentrated near the Israeli border, in the southern suburbs of Beirut, and in the Bekaa Valley to the east.
The Lebanese Health Ministry stated that since the beginning of the war in Gaza a year ago, Israeli attacks have resulted in 2,229 deaths and 10,380 injuries in Lebanon.
The ongoing hostilities between the Israeli military and Hezbollah fighters have forced approximately 187,000 people to flee their homes and seek safe shelter in other parts of Lebanon.
An additional 430,000 displaced individuals have crossed the border into Syria.
