Romanian airline AnimaWings has begun operating direct flights between Larnaca and Bucharest, with services running three times weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, officials announced.

The launch of the new route was marked by a presentation at Larnaca Airport supported by Hermes Airports, which will serve as the airline’s general sales agent in Cyprus.

AnimaWings’ Board Chairman Marius Pandel, Chief Commercial Officer Diana Dima, and Systems Director Alexandru Nicolae attended the event, where they highlighted the strategic importance of the new route. Company executives emphasised their commitment to quality, affordable air services and outlined plans for further network expansion.

“We are pleased to officially inaugurate the Bucharest-Larnaca route, marking a significant milestone in AnimaWings’ expansion and commitment to connecting Romania with key destinations,” said Pandel, who co-owns the airline.

He noted that Cyprus holds “a special place for Romanian travellers, whether for leisure, business reasons, or family visits,” adding that the partnership with Orthodoxou Aviation “strengthens our dedication to providing excellent services and enhancing ties between the two countries.”
