The same conversation about lifeguards, year after year

Relevant News

If there’s one issue we’ve been hearing about for years, it’s this one: lifeguards.

Their working hours, which towers they’re supposed to be at, how late they should stay, and so on. They talk about it, then talk about it again. They never seem to land on anything that actually works in practice. Everyone, of course, agrees the job matters, and that proper training is vital to saving lives and keeping the public safe. Now, with more drownings in the news, the issue is back in the spotlight. And once again, unfortunately, we’re only looking for solutions after someone’s already died.

Will we actually find them this time? Or will we be right back here the next time tragedy forces the question onto the table?
