US Ambassador John Breslow has reaffirmed Washington’s commitment to a bizonal, bicommunal federation with political equality, in line with UN Security Council resolutions, after meeting the UN Secretary-General’s personal envoy for Cyprus, Maria Angela Holguin, on Monday.
In a post on the US Embassy’s social media, Breslow said he was pleased to have met Holguin. It is always useful to hear her views on the way forward, he added.
He said the United States remains committed “to peace and a bizonal, bicommunal federation with political equality for all Cypriots, in line with UN Security Council resolutions”.
