Online applications for 2025-2026 student grants for the families of Greek students and repatriated Cypriot students open on Wednesday, 4 November, at 10am and close on Monday, 30 November, at 2pm, the Finance Ministry’s Grants and Benefits Service (YXE) said.

Families of Greek students who attended an academic institution in Cyprus in the 2025/2026 academic year, and whose family lives permanently in Greece, are eligible to apply. So are repatriated families of Cypriot students who attended an academic institution in Cyprus or abroad in the same academic year.

Applications must be submitted online only, by a parent or guardian, through the service’s platform at https://sg-yxe.mof.gov.cy.

Parents or guardians must have a CY Login account, the personal account that gives citizens secure access to government online services. Those without one can create an account at https://cge.cyprus.gov.cy/cyloginregistration/register.

Repatriated Cypriot applicants must also verify their account, either through e-banking, by video call, or by visiting a Citizen Service Centre with their identity card. Instructions are available at https://cge.cyprus.gov.cy/cyloginregistration/knowledgebase/help/identification.

Greek applicants do not need to verify their account.
