The aircraft crashed in the mountainous Kontariotissa community of the northern Pieria district, near the town of Katerini.
It was found in a dried up river bank, very close to the Pieria aircraft club runway.
There was no fire and the two victims, aged 55 and 60, whose identities are yet to be released, were discovered unconscious outside the single engine Cessna.
Eight fire service members in four vehicles took part in the search and rescue operation.
They were carried in a safe area just before two this afternoon and an ambulance rushed them to a nearby hospital where they were sadly declared dead a few minutes later.
The cause of the crash remains unknown at this point.
