Aegean will maintain its routes to and from Paphos International Airport for the 2027 summer season, the Paphos Regional Board of Tourism said on Tuesday, welcoming the decision as a boost to the district’s air connectivity.
The airline is expected to operate two to three weekly flights between Athens and Paphos in 2027. Through Aegean’s network from Athens, Paphos will also gain further access to major tourism source markets such as Germany, France and the UK, the board said.
The board said the airline’s presence at the airport improves Paphos’s accessibility from Greece and major international markets, and supports long-term tourism growth and stable air links for the region.
It added that Aegean contributes substantially to the district’s tourism development, expands flight options and helps promote Paphos as a high-quality, year-round, competitive destination.
The board and its member bodies are ready to carry out joint promotional campaigns with Aegean so that the airline can grow and establish a permanent presence at Paphos International Airport, it said.
