A woman was taken to hospital on Sunday night after her car veered off the road between Gourri and Kalo Chorio in the Nicosia district and fell about eight metres into the dry bed of a tributary.
The crash happened at 9:04pm. The cause is under investigation.
Firefighters from Lakatamia fire station arrived with a rescue vehicle and team and a fire engine.
They carried the driver, who was conscious, on a stretcher back up to the road, where she was handed over to ambulance crew and taken to the accident and emergency department of Nicosia General Hospital.
