Rain and thunderstorms are forecast across Cyprus from Monday until at least Thursday, with the weather expected to worsen from Wednesday afternoon when a low-pressure system moving south-east from the Adriatic Sea reaches the island, the Department of Meteorology said.

Winds will be variable and strong, up to 5 Beaufort. Temperatures will rise to around 30 degrees Celsius inland, around 28 on the coast and around 20 in the higher mountains.
