Police are searching for a 47-year-old man suspected of seriously wounding a 44-year-old in the abdomen with a builder’s knife at a construction site in Mouttagiaka, Limassol on Thursday, in a case being investigated as attempted murder.
The 44-year-old had surgery at a private clinic in Limassol and is in a stable condition and out of danger.
According to the evidence being examined, the two men allegedly got into an argument, during which the 47-year-old pulled out the knife and wounded the other man. He then fled.
Police were told at around 8.15am that an injured person was at the site. An ambulance took the wounded man to the clinic.
Limassol CID is continuing the investigation.
