Department of Forests officials found the body of an unidentified person on Thursday at around 9.30am, at a location called “Kallinikos” inside the Paphos State Forest.
Police officers went to the scene, and a medical examiner has been called to carry out a post-mortem examination. Standard procedures will follow to identify the body.
Police are examining whether the body may be linked to a 75-year-old woman, Erato Athanasiou, who has been missing for 11 days.
