The 30-year-old daughter of businessman Dimi Mavropoulos has been discharged from hospital, days after she jumped into the sea and survived the boat tragedy off Cape Greco that killed her father.
Mavropoulos, 76, died from drowning and multiple injuries in the sea off Cape Greco last Saturday, according to information from the autopsy that forensic pathologists Angeliki Papetta and Orthodoxos Orthodoxou carried out on his body. The examination found that Mavropoulos had become trapped in the wreckage of his boat, while his partner and daughter managed to jump into the sea in time, and helicopters deployed by the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre (JRCC) rescued them.
Doctors expect to discharge his 57-year-old partner shortly.
