Severe weather conditions disrupted air traffic in Cyprus on Saturday, with at least 11 flights diverted after aircraft avoided approaching the island due to heavy rainfall and storms.
According to information obtained by philenews, the diversions were caused by the bad weather, with aircraft unable to approach Cyprus as normal.
The first diverted flight was travelling from Denmark to Paphos but was instead redirected to Rhodes.
A further 10 flights scheduled to arrive at Larnaca Airport between 12:00 and 13:30 were diverted to Paphos, Rhodes and Lebanon.
