A 30-year-old motorcyclist from Larnaca died on Sunday evening following a head-on collision on the Kellia–Troulloi road, police confirmed.
The victim was identified as Georgios Georgiou. According to preliminary findings, Georgiou was riding a high-powered motorcycle belonging to another individual at around 19:30 when he entered a bend and veered into the oncoming traffic lane.
His vehicle collided head-on with a saloon car carrying four occupants, including a couple and their two minor children, all of whom initially appeared uninjured.

Investigators noted that preliminary examinations indicate Georgiou was not wearing a protective helmet at the time of the crash.
He sustained critical injuries from the impact and was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
