A woman suspected of killing her husband while he slept was ordered to be held for three days on Sunday in the occupied areas after surrendering to “police”.
The case has attracted widespread attention, with a “police investigator” telling the “Nicosia district court” that the killing took place at around 10.30 pm on Saturday in Gerolakkos.
According to what was presented in “court”, E.T. killed her husband, T.I.T., while he was asleep in their bedroom, stabbing him several times in the neck, waist and back with a folding knife with an 11-centimetre blade that she had taken from the kitchen.
The “police investigator” said E.T. committed the crime because she believed her husband was going to steal her belongings.
The “judge” granted the “police” request for a three-day “detention” order and also ordered that the woman undergo medical examinations.
