A fire broke out at a clothing shop in the Agios Nikolaos area of Limassol in the early hours, with initial indications pointing to arson.
Police said the fire started shortly after 3.00am today on the ground floor of an apartment building.
Fire Service crews extinguished the blaze, though the shop suffered extensive damage.
Police officers went to the scene to carry out examinations, and investigations so far have produced evidence pointing to arson.
The Fire Service and police cordoned off the scene this morning to carry out examinations aimed at establishing the cause of the fire.
Limassol CID is investigating.
