Miltos Tentoglou has taken his tally to 18 medals at major championships after winning a fourth European long jump title in Birmingham.
At senior level the 28-year-old from Grevena has 13 medals across the five biggest competitions, the Olympics and the world and European championships indoors and out. Twelve are gold. The one silver came at the World Championships in Eugene four years ago, where he led until the final round and lost to China’s Wang Jianan, who jumped 8.36 metres to beat him by four centimetres.
