Police officers from the Mobile Immediate Action Unit (MMAD) arrested two men in Ayia Napa on Friday night after finding 300 unused nitrous oxide capsules, commonly known as laughing gas, during a vehicle search.
Officers were carrying out preventive checks in the area when they stopped a car driven by a 26-year-old man, with a 29-year-old man in the passenger seat.
During a subsequent search, police found and seized 300 unused nitrous oxide capsules, 12 inhalation devices and several balloons.
Both men were arrested at the scene and later charged in writing before being released.
