Medical test results for Turkish Cypriot leader Tufan Erhurman are reassuring after he felt severely unwell on Friday evening and was rushed to hospital.

Erhurman felt intense chest and back pain accompanied by sweating and low blood pressure during an event. Consequently, doctors deemed his immediate transfer to the hospital by ambulance necessary at around 9:00 pm.

Specialised examinations showed nothing alarming and ruled out any cardiac issues, according to the health official Hakan Dincyurek.

Medical staff initially performed a contrast CT scan, which showed no abnormalities. Erhurman then underwent a coronary angiogram as a precautionary measure to check his coronary arteries. The results came back clear, ruling out any immediate cardiac danger.

His general health condition is good, though he will rest for a short period following his doctors’ recommendations.

Erhurman was discharged from the hospital this morning, according to the latest update.
