Theatre
Paphos, Ancient Odeon, doors open 8pm. The International Ancient Drama Festival continues with Euripides’s Hecuba, performed by the Daugavpils Theatre of Latvia. Directed by Tatiana Stepanenko-Bogdanova, the production is notable for its use of Latgalian, a regional language of eastern Latvia now considered endangered. Greek and English surtitles. Satirical Theatre, Upper Stage, 6pm. The Satirical Theatre Festival 2026 continues with the children’s production “Alice in Football Land,” a contemporary and gentle piece about the power of effort and the joy of being yourself. On the Lower Stage at 8.30pm, the performance Sessions will be presented, in which movement and speech coexist and interact as a means of expressing our hidden inner world. Paphos, Tala, Amphitheatre, 9pm. Fotis Georgiades presents his new work “Antikristo,” a social satire targeting familiar ills of Cypriot life. Tickets: SoldOut Tickets. Ballet
Nicosia, Strovolos Municipal Theatre, 8pm. The Mitletton School celebrates 60 years of uninterrupted creative work in dance with its anniversary performance “Animusea,” promising to enchant audiences. Screenings
Paphos, Attikon Summer Cinema, July 10 to August 14, 9pm. The Kimon Arts Centre renews its summer appointment with film fans, launching this year’s Garden Screenings, a series of open-air film showings. Limassol, Molos Amphitheatre, 8.30pm. Three months ahead of its 16th edition this autumn, the International Short Film Festival of Cyprus (ISFFC) holds its established summer appointment with Limassol audiences, presenting an evening of five films selected from last year’s official programme. Free entry. Screenings are not suitable for those under 18.
Nicosia, Goethe-Institut Cyprus, July 6–10, 8pm. The Sommerkino summer screenings conclude with the award-winning “Afire (Roter Himmel)” by Christian Petzold, one of the most significant German films of recent years. Set against a forest fire on the Baltic coast, four young people confront their relationships, desires and insecurities in an allegory for the climate crisis and the modern human condition. 22674606. Dance
Nicosia, Egkomi Black Box Theatre, 8.30pm. The Dance Lab 14 Above youth group presents its work for the year in an evening dedicated to contemporary dance. This year’s production features acclaimed choreographer Alex Kross, in Cyprus as part of the Dance Artists in Residency programme, who has created a new choreography for the Dance Lab youth group. Tseri, Agioi Andronikos and Athanasia Square, 8.30pm. Lakatamia Municipality is organising a musical performance with Yiannis Kritikos and Elena Andreou, who will perform beloved Cretan, Cypriot, island and folk songs. Free entry.
Poetry Action
Nicosia, Kartzin SEA Lab x Visual Voices, Aischylou 83, 7.30pm. A live spoken-word poetry performance titled “Delirium” by Roz. In a delirious stream of thought, Roz explores the concept of freedom in relation to the intertwined urgency of disability and queer life.
Festival
Nicosia, Famagusta Gate. Fuse, one of Cyprus’s best-known rock bands, set the tone for the final day of EDON’s 38th Pancyprian Youth and Student Festival, ahead of an appearance by Vasilis Papakonstantinou, who returns to Cyprus with a programme of timeless Greek rock songs. Performance
Tamassos, Tamassos Metropolis Cultural Stage, 8.30pm. With striking acrobatics, music that touches the soul and an aesthetic blending childlike innocence with artistic polish, “Denmark’s Flying Kids,” featuring 35 performers on stage, captivates audiences young and old.
