UN Secretary-General’s Personal Envoy María Ángela Holguín is expected to meet President Nikos Christodoulides at the Presidential Palace at 5pm today for talks on the Cyprus problem.
On Saturday, Holguín is expected to meet again with Turkish Cypriot leader Tufan Erhürman.
The meetings follow initial separate encounters with both leaders last Monday. On Tuesday, Holguín held separate meetings with the two negotiators, during which no joint meeting between them was discussed.
According to CNA, Holguín is continuing discussions with the negotiators on preparations for an informal multilateral meeting planned for late July or early August. Sources said the talks contain “only substance” and no confidence-building measures.
