The UN Secretary-General’s Personal Envoy, María Ángela Holguín, will hold her second meeting with President Nikos Christodoulides on Friday at 6pm, followed by a meeting with Turkish Cypriot leader Tufan Erhürman on Saturday, according to CNA.

The meetings follow first encounters with both leaders on Monday. On Tuesday, Holguín held separate meetings with both negotiators, after which no further appointment has been scheduled and no joint meeting between them has been discussed, CNA reported.

The new separate meetings with the two leaders are to take place before any further meetings with the negotiators.

According to the same sources, discussions with the negotiators are focused on preparing an informal multilateral meeting for late July or early August. Talks are said to involve “substance only” and no terms of reference.
