Relevant News

Morning low cloud and local fog are expected to clear on Tuesday, giving way to mostly fine weather across most of Cyprus, with temporarily increased cloud.

However, clouds developing from midday onwards are expected to bring isolated showers or an isolated thunderstorm, mainly in the mountains and inland.

Hail is possible in the event of a thunderstorm.

Winds in the morning will be sea breezes, while inland they will be variable and light, at 3 Beaufort. They will gradually become south-westerly to north-westerly, light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort, and locally on the southern coast temporarily strong, 4 to 5 Beaufort.

The sea will be generally calm to slight.

Temperatures will rise to around 35C inland, around 26C on the western coast, around 30C on the remaining coasts and around 25C in the higher mountains.

On Tuesday night, increased low cloud is expected in places, particularly in coastal areas. Later and around dawn, local fog is expected to form, especially in eastern areas, inland and in the south.

Winds will gradually become downslope and locally variable, light, 2 to 3 Beaufort. The sea will remain calm to slight.

On Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, increased low cloud and local fog are expected in the morning, before the weather gradually becomes mostly fine in most areas, with temporary cloud.

From midday onwards, developing clouds are expected to bring isolated showers or isolated thunderstorms, mainly in the mountains and inland. Hail is possible in the event of a thunderstorm.

Temperatures are not expected to change significantly by Friday and will remain slightly above the seasonal average.
