A road worker is in a critical condition after being struck by a passing vehicle on the Paphos–Limassol motorway near the Sotira exit, according to initial police information.
Ambulances from both the Republic and the British Bases are at the scene. Emergency crews are working to stabilise the worker before transferring him to hospital.
Police have closed both lanes of the motorway in the direction of Paphos to Limassol, between the Paramali exit and the Sotira exit, near the tunnel. Drivers are advised to use the Episkopi exit toward Limassol, to reduce speed and to keep a safe distance from vehicles ahead.
