The Law Office has applied to the Supreme Court to lift the parliamentary immunity of EDEK MP Marinos Sizopoulos, in a move that paves the way for a criminal investigation into fraud and forgery allegations.
The application will be heard at the Supreme Constitutional Court on Tuesday 3 March 2026, according to Politis newspaper.
The move follows an Independent Authority against Corruption report issued last September, which recommended that Sizopoulos be investigated for a range of criminal offences.
Those offences include fraud, forgery, drawing up and circulating a false document, and conspiracy to defraud, according to the report.
