Intense weather conditions have gripped Paphos since six o’clock this morning, with heavy rainfall, strong winds, and lightning accompanying residents’ Sunday wake-up.
The intense downpours lasted for approximately half an hour before the phenomena weakened, though they did not stop entirely. Weather phenomena prevail across all areas of the district, raising hopes for a practical improvement in the water balance.
According to initial reports from state authorities, the morning’s severe weather caused no recorded damage or serious problems.
Power Outages Hit Communities
Due to the intense rainfall, several areas suffered power outages.
Specifically, three communities have been without electricity since 8:40 am, with the estimated time for power restoration set at 11:00 am.
