A week of information and checks focusing on bus and lorry driving will take place from Monday, November 17, until Sunday, November 23, 2025.
This specific campaign, the third for this year, will be conducted simultaneously across all member countries of the European Traffic Police Network (Roadpol), including Cyprus.
During the campaign, the Cyprus Police, in cooperation with the Department of Road Transport (DRT), will carry out checks focusing on the following:
- Driver and vehicle documentation
- Vehicle speed
- Speed-limiting devices
- Driving and working hours
- Use of tachographs (analogue and digital)
- The mechanical condition of vehicles
Concurrently, the police will show zero tolerance for traffic violations that contribute to fatal and serious road collisions.
The Police remind the public that road safety concerns everyone and call on drivers to comply with the Highway Code and demonstrate responsible road behaviour.
