The Department of Meteorology issued a new yellow warning today for isolated but strong thunderstorms, which are expected to affect the entire island on Thursday, 13 November 2025.
The warning is valid from 03:00 in the morning until 17:00 in the afternoon. The phenomena are forecast to begin in the western, northern, and southern coastal areas before gradually extending to the mountains, interior, and eastern regions.
Rainfall intensity is expected to range between 35 and 55 millimetres per hour. This volume of precipitation may cause localised flooding, water accumulation on roads, and reduced visibility. Hail is also possible during the thunderstorms, and winds will vary in intensity and direction, strengthening locally.
